How do I create an account?
- Download Chem from the App Store or Google Play.
- Sign up with your email address and a password. You must be 18 or older.
- Add your name, birthday, gender, who you're looking for, and your city, then take the element quiz.
That's it — your element is set and you can start matching.
How do I delete my account and data?
In the app: open the Account tab, tap Delete Account, and confirm.
You can also delete it on the web at chemsparks.com/account-deletion.
Deletion is permanent and immediate. It removes your profile and all its data, your photos, prompt answers, ratings, matches, and messages. It can't be undone. A small number of safety records are kept, which our Privacy Policy explains.
Deleting your account does not cancel a Chem Premium subscription — see the subscriptions question below.
How do I report or block another user?
In any chat, tap the flag icon to report a concern. Your selections are private, and the other person is never told.
To block someone, tap Block in that chat. You won't see each other again.
Manage everyone you've blocked in the Account tab, under Blocked users.
If someone is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first, then email help@chemsparks.com.
How do subscriptions work, and how do I cancel or get a refund?
Chem Premium is an auto-renewing monthly subscription. Apple and Google handle the payment, so we never see your card details. The price is shown in the app before you buy.
To cancel: use your store's subscription settings — Apple or Google Play. Cancel at least 24 hours before your next renewal. You keep Premium until the end of the period you've paid for.
For refunds: App Store purchases go through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. Google Play purchases go through your Google Play order history. We can't issue refunds directly.
How do I reset my password?
- On the sign-in screen, tap “Forgot your password?”.
- Enter your account email address.
- Open the reset link we email you and choose a new password.
No email after a few minutes? Check your spam folder, then write to help@chemsparks.com.
Is my data private and secure?
Everything sent between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit. We don't sell your data, we don't share it for advertising, and we don't track you across other apps or sites.
Other members see your name, age, photos, prompt answers, and element — not your email or phone number. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
Staying safe on Chem
Chem works when people are real and kind. Harassment, hate, nudity, and fake profiles aren't allowed, and accounts that break the rules are removed. Never send money to someone you meet here, and meet in public the first few times.
